Car Shopping Update

So we liked the Volvo, but would you believe not a single one available in NEW YORK, HELLOOO??!! The dealer said he found on manual up in Maine, but we'd have to take it as is, ugh, forget it. Here is what we decided.

After going over and over again these three cars, MINI Cooper Clubman S, Mazda 3, 5 door, and the Volvo C30, we decided to not get anything. Why? Because we had previously decided to keep Adam's car, (1990 BMW 325is) until it keels over. Thing still runs great with over 250,000 miles on it. Even with the tempting clunker bill rebate of $3,500 or $4,500, he's happy with his car and none of the cars we looked at were all that much better, really, just newer.

So, we are done, for now...

Wanted: Summer Job

So I will be making the rounds in search of a florist job for the summer. I am going to look near my kids camp so I don't have to make two round trips a day, plus make a little gas money.

There are about 20 florists within 10 minutes of camp because there are several cemeteries.
I made his handout to leave with potential employers. Wish me luck!!!

Goings On...

As you may or may not know I have a bad cough which caused a pulled a muscle in my back and am kinda incapacitated. Adam had to shampoo my hair for me, & comb it. So all I can really do is sit on the couch in font of my computer! It is better today; he got me some Naproxyn and a good back massage. And I had a hot shower last night.

In addition to a new keyboard & mouse that I got recently (the wireless Apple ones!) I also finally got Leopard and an new video card, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, w/128MB, and a few more HD, internal for a total of over 500GB, and I have my networked HD which is another 500GB.

I have been taking the on-line, FREE, Adobe Illustrator class. I missed the first lesson, but the second class was great! It's like all the cool stuff that you want to do in PS but don't know how! Plus I feel good about perhaps making use of one of the other programs in my CS!

School is still on here in NY, Corinne is almost done with Kindergarten, one more week to go, and Hali (12) has a week of finals. As soon as school ends Annalea (16), arrives from Tampa and they start camp on June 30th!

I am going to be looking for a p/t job while they are in camp, somewhere near the camp. It's a half an hour each way, and it's two round trips a day. It really adds up in gas. So, I thought this made sense. Remember I had been a florist years ago?? The camp is located near several cemeteries; there must be at least 20 florists within 10 minutes of the camp!
